Qiacard FTA is a card impregnated with a patented chemistry: when a biological sample is deposited on the FTA, this chemistry lyses the cells and denatures the proteins, while the nucleic acids are extracted and protected in the paper fibres. The FTA card can be transported to the laboratory at room temperature or stored at room temperature for later analysis.

• For various samples: blood, cell cultures, oral cells, plant material, bacteria, plasma
• Storage at room temperature or in the freezer for unstable samples (RNA)
• Available in a version with a coloured indicator that highlights the deposit of a sample, recommended for colourless samples
• Nucleic acids ready for downstream application in less than 30 minutes. Avoids bacterial and fungal growth
• Protects nucleic acids from environmental degradation
• Reduces the possibility of cross-contamination between samples
• Nucleic acid storage time: 17 years old
